Emily is an over-enthusiastic lover of fashion, music, books, movies, art, and culture in general. She is subscribed to so many fashion magazines, that they literally cannot fit them all in her mailbox and usually just end up throwing them on her “welcome” mat. Raised on heroes from Jane Austen to Judy Dench to Cary Grant, Emily credits her impeccable fake British accent to watching more English movies growing up than American ones (and yes, she is completely obsessed with Harry Potter to the point of isolation from reality). Her love of music spans across all genres (what is a genre anymore? she waxes poetic to herself), though she was nursed on true punk and will never understand “redneck country” music – tractors are not and cannot be sexy. Emily graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Journalism and considers herself to be a great wit, though she is still waiting on validation from a credible source. Her idols include Coco Rocha, Grace Coddington, Diane von Fürstenberg, Thakoon, Katie Stelmanis, Linda Fargo, Dame Maggie Smith, Cindi Leive, and Sloane Crosley, among others. She also exclusively drinks Dr. Pepper and hasn’t tasted water since 2008.
